Crane organization is obligated in conducting honest and ethical business activities all around the globe. Constantly, we will improve of our products, services and our entire operations hence creating a good reputation for integrity, respect, honesty, fairness and trust among our customers in addition to a reputable business judgment. Unethical and illegal conduct of an officer, employee, director, or an affiliate is in the organization's best interest. There is no time that Crane will compromise the set principle of the organization for only a short term advantage. The organization's ethical performance depends on the employee's ethics therefore; adherence to the organization's set standards is expected from employees and at the highest personal integrity.

An employee, an officer or a director of the organization must never allow a personal interest to come in between the clients or affiliates and the organization's interest. Any member of the organization's staff must avoid representing Crane organization in any form of transaction with an individual outside the business affiliation. Moreover, employees such as the directors must at all costs avoid using the contacts that they use in the organization to carry out personal business activities at the expense of the organization of the clients (Stanwick & Stanwick, 2009).

Any form of bribery, kickback or remuneration in that form should be offered to any individual or organization in the name of obtaining or attracting an activity of a business. In addition, Crane's directors, employees, and officers who are contacted often or often come into contact with private business information must always take the required steps to ensure information safety.

Guidelines

There are several guideline principles that should be followed whenever the organization's inside information is being dealt with. To begin with, an employee at all time must not disclose the organization's inside information to the public if the organization has not yet released the material information to the public, unless to a staff member within the organization with a designated position of requiring information. Moreover, an employee in an organization must not be involved in any act of purchasing the organization's securities of which they have information to until a public disclosure of information regarding the security is made by the organization and the public has had enough time to absorb the material information. In addition, with relation to the organization's securities, no employee should buy or sell the securities to a different corporation.

In addition to the above principles, the employees, directors and officers should not wrongly interpret their qualifications. For better understanding, employees should be aware that misusing the organizations inside information in connection to securities trading may result to penalties and civil liabilities on the involved individual with relation to Securities Exchange Act.

Purpose of the Crane code

There are several purposes that this code of ethics is intended to serve. First and foremost, Crane's code of ethics serves the purpose of ensuring that unethical acts in the organization and any dishonest behaviors with relation to business activities in the organization are not promoted at all. Therefore, the purpose of the code is to promote practices which are honest and ethical in terms of personal and professional relationships. Secondly, this code promotes adherence and accountability of guidelines and principles set in the organization's code of ethics. Thirdly, this code promotes adherence to legal laws set by the authority with relation to the business activity that is carried out. Finally, this code promotes fair, honest and accurate report disclosure of the organizations reports.

Training and education

Crane organization offers training on the code of ethics which governs the organization with an aim of ensuring compliance to the relevance standards and guidelines before actually signing the codes of ethics. Training and education will provide a way of ensuring that there is a clearer understanding of the codes are the disciplinary action which an individual may be entitled to incase the rules and guidelines of the codes are violated.

Definitions

For proper understanding of the organization's code of ethic, we provide you with a definition of the term. These are rules set aside in the organization with an aim of governing and regulating behaviors of the people covered; in this case, directors, employees and officers. Ethics is derived from 'Ethika' which is a Greek word referring to human conduct or human morals. A distinction should however be driven between ethics and codes of conduct as well as codes of regulation. Regulations, guidelines and procedures how the way employees in this organization carry out their activity is provided by this code of conduct having employee rights and remedies of the guidelines violations provided (Kaptein, 2011).

The purpose of a code of ethics in a business organization is the setting of the general principles related an organizations belief on matters regarding the organization's privacy, quality, mission, or the entire organization's environment.
