Sigh, second week of classes and I’m already burned out. Every one of my subjects needs a requirement that is due next week. I don’t know what to do. This always happen to me when academic responsibilities come out of nowhere. I’m so overwhelmed that I don’t know where to start. What I always do in this time of crisis is to take a nap. And I did.
This week has not been good to me. As a member of an organization, I admit that I neglected my responsibilities. I was not able to attend meetings and appointments with my fellow members. I also became busy with ROTC because we have an upcoming competition. I was placed as a flag bearer of Bravo Company and I feel very anxious because I don’t know what to do. On the other hand, every one of them suddenly asks for a meeting in the same day! I chose my varsity because I felt that it was the one neglected the most and I know that my relations with my other organization will be damaged. I feel bad but what can I do?
I also lost touch with my friends especially my HS friends. We were not able to talk much these days because we are all getting busy with school especially that we are on our junior year and practicum is on the way. But I’ll never forget these guys. They made a huge impact on my life and helped me become a better person.
I still watch AlDub whenever I catch them on TV. I did not forget texting my parents that I’m fine and I’m studying well. I also did not forget to have fun once in a while (like playing computer games). And I still read books that refreshes my mind.
It’s a great feeling when you feel motivated to do your school works. Good thing, online classroom has been invented. You get the benefits of being in a classroom (learning new things) but still have it at the comfort of your home. The rise of online media also helped reduce the environmental waste that we get from print media. Handouts, exams, and quizzes became paper-less. But still, nothing beats learning inside an actual classrooms. The presence of your friends and classmates, the jokes of your professor (either corny or benta), and the cool breeze of air conditioner.
I’m beginning to feel that this would be a very hard semester for me. I’m currently drowning in making papers and outputs. I hope that I do not regret taking up 21 units this semester with 5 DevCom subjects simultaneously. And I’m still hoping for the best.
