> * Prospects & Opportunities: Great port of call, one of top

> destinations, Spain high standard of living and gambling. Provide specific opportunities that the location we have selected provides (public transportation, parking, etc.)

> * Risks: Describe competition in the area, whether it be casino, hotel, or restaurant. after looking at other hard rock hotel and casinos, it is apparent that additional restaurants are on site for guests. this is something that we should keep in mind. we already have the cafe downstairs. maybe we should get also add a restaurant with a Spanish re-known chef.

> * Strategies and recommendations to max success: Hiring locals to

> assist in mgmt since they will know the economy and people (cultural cues);

> hiring an international team comprised of the largest group of tourists

> (such as US, England/Europe, etc...) that visits Spain. They will be

> consultants to management to run it smoothly. Most Hard Rocks are decorated with Rock and Roll Memorabilia from America. Does Spain like American Rock and Roll, and will they be receptive to this concept? SHould it include Spanish artists?

What kind of marketing will be needed to raise awareness for the new enterprise.

> expanding (economy can be good and bad: cheaper labor/materials, but could

The rooftop can be used for its pool area. We can build the rooftop with cabanas, the pool w/ a sunken bar and lap pool, and a full bar. At night this can be the Hard Rock's nightclub. We can get world re-known DJs to come dj famous parties.

> * Firms prospects/opportunities (Long and Short Term):

Short term:

Opportunites will include an increase in Casino traffic as a result of hotel visitors. Tourists to Barcelona that would stay at the hotel simply for the hotel purposes are likely to visit the restaurant or casino, since it is right on site. domestic spending will increase because of the new casino. People want variety and love the western culture. The club and pool parties are going to draw a lot of ppl to stay at the hotel overnight.

The opening of the new hotel and casino will draw media attention, celebrities, the who's who will be there.

Long Term:

Hard Rock Barcelona will become the premier spot in Barcelona. Much like Hard Rock's in the US, such as Hollywood, FL, and Las Vegas, this will become a destination for tourists and locals as the "place to be." Spanish and world-wide celebrities will come to the Hard Rock to party, and this will further enhance our image and attract customers.
