Baby Don't Hurt Me

What is love? A simple question with such a complex answer. As time has passed and new relationships blossomed so has the word love. Its evolved to each individuals emotions and sensations: one's self creation. Love is said to be a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. For some people, love is complete devotion and endless adoration. For others it's a temporary feeling that will disappear in time. Many say love is once-in-a lifetime. While others think that after one love ends, another comes. Some find it to be like a fairy-tale, while for others it is a dream come true.

As a child Cinderella and Prince Charming are how love was introduced. It put three things into perspective: Love at first sight., that a guy should do anything and everything in his power to be with the girl he loves, and to never give up. That concept is grasped and in a child's mind frame, understood. Then Romeo and Juliet is thrown into the picture. The story corresponds with what was taught by Cinderella and throws its own perspectives in. It also demonstrates the need to never give up, and that the guy should do anything and everything he can to be with girl he loves. But unlike Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet brought alive the fact that everyone may not like the relationship, and the concepts of fate and sacrifice. Lastly Jack and Rose introduced sacrifices for forbidden love. Theses couples morphed in idealistic take on love.

Love is widely ranged, broad word. It can be used to describe your feelings ranging from general pleasure to serious interpersonal relationships. The talk of love in this society, can mean the love of a mate, parent or child; it also can define a deep friendship or "liking" for a person or thing; or can mean sexual love. For example; " I love coffee," and "I love my boyfriend." Family relationships, friendships, bonds with a pet and other objects can all be truly loved by a person. All with a special form of the word love. Someones love for his/her brother is a different kind of love from loving a partner, yet it is still love. Its accepted and automatically understood when it is brought up through out various conversations.

Love requires affection, devotion, passion, desire, warmth, respect and/or loyalty. To love or to be loved is powerful, demanding, rewarding and pleasurable all wrapped in one. The word itself is not only an emotion its an action. Everyone at some point in their lives will experience love. Whether they are loved or will love somebody.

Love requires commitment, communication, and compassion. The three C's to a relationship. Without commitment, love will not be able to grow. In order for growth feelings need to be communicated and a will for sharing feelings; inter most personal thoughts, desires, and wants; and the negative, the failures, and the disappointments is
