God's Love and Protection in "The Hiding Place"
Malachi 1:2 in Old Testament states "The Lord says to his people that I have always loved you. But they reply that how have you shown your love for us?" Like people of Israel questioned, one of fundamental questions that ordinary people raise time to time as living in their life seems to be about whether to exist God's endless love for humankind and salvation from evil, and how to convince and when realize them in the real world. "The Hiding Place" is one of books which draw greatly reader's attention and interest in this respect. Through the real life story that Corrie had experienced during the period of Nazi invasion of Holland and in Nazi prison and concentration camp, there have been many evidences which God revealed. God gives his love in most needed times and courage to stand up against evil and temptation to people who truly believes in and always follows God without doubt. Then, when does God's love have been shown to Corrie and her family? How does God protect his followers from evil and temptation? Is God's love inclusive for all people regardless of their origin and comprehensive to be able to embrace even the enemy?
After reading this extrordinary advanture of human courage of the heroine Corrie Ten Boom anf her family, I have learned that you can always hope and faith with the Glory of God at the worst times in your life.I think it is amazing how Corrie Ten Boom always looked for the positive side in the duration of her time in prison. She was always heling others, when most were mainly out for themselves. The whole Ten Boom family was so dedicated th their Christian beliefs, that it gave the book a happy glow during the hrrifying events.
According to Corrie & Betsie Ten Boom, life was a faith-building experience. Those two women were faced with one of the toughest experiences of their lives. Each day, Corrie and Betsie had to persuade each other that everything was going to be okay, once they were free from the "hell", or the concentration camp they were placed in. And, yet, Corrie and Betsie somehow managed to keep in mind that God was with them.
Corrie Ten Boom's astonishing novel, "The Hiding Place", is an extraordinary adventure of one courageous Christian woman who had been sent to a concentration camp, along with her sister, for helping the Jews. Both the girls depended heavily on Christ's power and words to guide them through the tough times. They were not praying for themselves, but instead they were praying for the souls and the actions of the brutal Nazi guards.
