Is the death penalty the correct course of action to criminals? Execution is a horrific extreme measurement to set upon a human being, it is inhuman. Yes, there is horrific crimes that were committed , but doing retribution on the criminal right? I do not think these kind of measurements should be desire and shall be done to criminals.

There has been one hundred and tenth wrongfully people that were put on death row and twenty of them were DNA tested evidence. (Death Penalty and Innocence) That demonstrates there could be human errors and will cost innocent and naïve deaths. There has been many cases also that Also "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."(Bible Mathew:7:1-2:9) If a human does wrong, another human cannot execute a "brother" because another human can not take their life for doing something wrong. The death penalty contradicts the bible, a equally right brother is making the decision of one's end of life. Not only that but murder is a sin, "Thou shalt not kill." (Exodus 20:13 ) It is ironic how a sinner is deciding another sinner's destination.

God has authority to judge one and make decisions towards a living human being. In the bible," There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you--who are you to judge your neighbor?"(john 4:12) The "4:12" verse is stating that there is only one person that can judge, "God". By "But you--who are you to judge your neighbor?" , it is stating if you have done "sins" , why is a sinner going to judge another sinner. Also doing a execution is murder. Murder is a sin , no one can made executions at all. Not only that but also there has been multiple executed innocent people. Humans can make errors and this a well displayed example . For example, Larry Swearingen was twelve years on death row and his execution date was set three times . He stated " I can't be remorseful for a crime that I didn't commit" ,he was accused for a crime he never committed and he was going to be put to death for this mistake. Like him there were other people put on death row for crimes they did not commit, for wrongful executions.

Although , many think that the death penalty may decrease the crime rate , it is false. There are proven facts that the death penalty has no affect towards the crime rate. If there is no decrease in crimes and execution
