Life's All Abouts
Life isn't about collecting roses. Neither burning cash nor filling your tummies. It's a matter of understanding and forgiveness. Throughout our life, we meet new friends. Someone we call as an acquaintance, buddy, pal and even Best friend. What we don't know is the meaning of the word Best Friend. Is it the one who stayed longer? The one who made us happy? One who gives everything we need? Or someone we can share our stories to without being criticized? We really don't know who HE/SHE is. Calling someone as our best friend is basically based on who was there when we need a shoulder to cry on, arms to help us feel safe and feet to follow us wherever we go.
But as we grow older, our perception changes. We become mature and our standards in choosing our friends vary from what we become. There's a time that we don't feel like hanging out with people we used to go out with. Instead, we choose those new ones. Why? Because we think they're cooler. We think that new companions offers higher popularity. We think that they are more trustworthy than the old ones. But someday, they will prove us wrong. Sooner or later, you'll find out that they're slowly betraying you. Slowly killing every hope in you that everything will stay the same. And then you'll realize you're taking a hundred steps backward to those you left before. The sad part is, "Would they still accept you after turning your back on them?"
A mere fact: "High school is indeed the most thrilling part of our entire life." More responsibilities come. New buddies regroup. Relationship shows up. Natural to teens? One word. Infatuation. Infatuation that is often mistaken as love. Famous line about infatuation for high schools, "Love conquers all." Not all, I say. It might conquer fear, hopelessness, and sin. But not JEALOUSY. Jealousy was never part of the word "all". It is the root of every simple fight between two different hearts.
SIN. Love doesn't have to cover sins. It should be avoided. It MUST be. Lying to parents, making fights, obscene languages, sexual activities, inappropriate actions in public. If you truly love someone, you would never dare to let him/her pass through these sins. Not even dare to think about it. Respect is always equal to love. Even greater than love. It must not be forgotten for even a second. Once an action is done, you can never take it back. All you can do is reminisce and regret everything you did.
One mistake can take everything away from you. But a sincere apology from a friend will always be accepted by a true friend. A true friend who will take care of you even when you're not sick. Someone who will tell that you're wrong without making you feel unloved. Understands what you feel without saying a word. And making you smile even though the world seems vague.
