Ans: NMH is pursuing the differentiation strategy as they are trying to offer world-class services to their patients(customers). And they are also using the internal labor orientation i.e., committed expert, as they are putting the money, time & resources in training and retaining their employees, which in return, gives better and sound experience to their patients. Hence, increasing the customer satisfaction. And by following the committed expert strategy they are also able to reduce the turnover and hence, increase the productivity and profitability of the hospital.
Describe the various ways NMH is delivering training and other related learning opportunities to its employees.
Ans: Various ways NMH is delivering training and other related learning opportunities to its employees are as follows:
a. NMH has developed the Academy to establish standardized training policies and solutions, which provide over 200 online courses ranging from communications, project management, informational services, and budgeting to an array of healthcare specialties.
b. This academy also delivers over 3000 hours of management training to higher level staff.
c. Academy also host the "Lunch and Learn" sessions where managers and employees learn, for example, flexible scheduling strategies, personal development planning, and interviewing techniques.
d. And the most important are the three schools the Academy developed for Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, and Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
What benefits did NMH gain by developing the Academy and its associated schools?
Ans: Benefits gained by NMH by developing the Academy and its associated schools are as follows:
a. Easy to execute committed expert strategy where NMH can hire the recent graduates of the school and train them further.
b. It helped them in establishing the standardized training policies and solutions, which in return eliminated the redundancies and duplication of courses.
c. Helped in providing the management training to higher level staff.
d. It also helped NMH in fulfilling all the vacancies easily and eliminating staff overtime and agency usage hence, increasing the satisfaction rate among the employees.
