Advantages of Information Systems

Information systems have many advantages and can help the record store advance production and performance wise. Some advantages of information system are:

1. Saves time

2. Accurate and quick data

3. Control

4. Stores information and transactions of company

5. Information can be access faster and accurate.

6. Product information can be found faster

The information system is not only a time saver but money saver as well. This helps eliminate error and information can be access a lot faster and sooner than paper. Money is saved because you can have the employees work on other important things than doing the process the old fashion way which is writing everything on paper. The information system can also keep track of product in the store, ordered, or out of. This helps both the employee and the customer by making sure the product is there or not.

Disadvantages of Information System

Well like everything there is an advantage and disadvantage to everything including the information system. For example, people need to remember that the system is inputted by employees and can become inaccurate. Systems can be very expensive and time consuming due to the knowledge of using the product. There can be error or failures with the computer or system and lose all information if information is not backed up. Another is jobs are being lost to this system because you don't need many people to write down data anymore because everything is in the hand of the system. Maintenance and electricity is another disadvantage and can become very expensive in the long run.
