Advantages of Working for Big Companies

TOPIC: Which company do you want to work for: Big or small company?

Having an ideal job always is always the biggest dream in our lives. Many people choose large company to achive their dreams while others believe that small ones would be much better choices. Each thought has it own argument but I reckon that it is great to work for big organizations as those will offer to employees more opportunities, career advancement and working experiences in contrast to a small companies.

To begin with, a large organization offers more opportunities to its employees such as training, work exposure and networking opportunities. Suppose you work for a multinational company which has branches world over. Such company may offer you opportunities such as foreign training or overseas work experience. Also if you work for a large company then you would receive a better exposure in contrast to the exposure in a small company. For example, HR department of a large organization has many different units handling different subjects. Therefore, a person would receive a vast exposure and many networking opportunities by working for HR division of a large company. In contrast, many small companies have limited HR activities and manage their HR functions with handful of people who would be deprived of vast exposure and networking opportunities.

Secondly, in a large organization, the chances are more for one to progress in career since their growth rate is higher rate than a small company. For example, when a large company opens hundred branches per year, a small company may not open a single branch within that year. Therefore, its employees would be stagnated in the same position while the employees of the large company can progress in career with frequently generated vacancies.

Last but not least, once you work for big company, you could easily gain a great deal of experiences from talented people around. It can be said that the best way to develop yourself is learn from the others. Since there are rational employment-oriented policies, large companies are always the places containing so many competent people. By working with these persons, you could easily inquire from them their experiences, even ask them for giving advices in difficult situations.The more you learn from them, the more perfect you are.

To put in a nutshell, working environment in large companies really bring us so many great chances to develop yourself in all aspects. When you choose big companies, you could receive a lot of useful knowledge of profession from others or training program, great opportunities to progress in career. Despite competitive air of working, large organizations is truly the best choice for us to be sucessful in our career ladders.
