All of us we are using the English language. Yet why does most of us not use our own language. It is always a foreign language. Conrado de Quiros is correct, why don’t we hear from fellow Filipino words like “upo, khan, upo”. Why is it always english? English words makes someone seem classy. But because of this, the value of our language is decreasing. It is told language of forming alliances, creating a new and knowledge yet little by little this decreases. They're already taking steps for our country language rise but yet it still shows no avail. The government made a law, based on Constitution of 1987, Article 14, Section 6, stating that our National Language should be Filipino, but when will we follow this rule. Must we continue to use the universal language or called “English”, because some people said that “how can we communicate with other people or in business if we don't use the English language.” Yet there are other countries who only based English as a second language. Yet in our country it feels as English is becoming our main and national language. In Cambodia, they’re preserving the culture of their language but their country is eyed as the one of the highest economy inpoint of tourism. It's because that Cambodia preserved the culture in language. They say that the countries prosperity doesn't really have any relationship to the language of one's country but it's based on our action and decision. Now it is always based on how we speak English, the fluently the better. If you don’t know how to speak English and more fluently you are only a janitor or maintenance. If you are the great and fluently in English you would have a higher position and a higher power or you would have the power to do anything you want. But there's a National Artist of the Philippines in Literature that believes that our national language –Filipino language is the reason why he has rosed to such a high degree being a one of the Philippines National Artist. He is now the President of the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino- one of the leading partner of the government that preserves the culture and strongly believes that are national or mother language is Filipino. The adults or also known as “Millennials” are slowly but steadily forgetting the importance of our countries mother language. This was also discussed that does the Filipino language help in the use in performing theater? Helpful because why the Philippines Education Theater Association or “PETA”, they do acting with singing or musical theater in the other countries but the language that they are using is Filipino. In conclusion they have gain several benefits while not using English. Language now a day’s is powerful it can control us but still I will refuse the use of English Language and remain fateful to our National Language. I will follow our law and remain fateful to our Original Language so I can continue the legacy of Manuel L. Quezon and English is my second language only.
