Alton Towers Resort is part of Merlin Entertainments Group. And owned by Jackie Tian

The second largest leisure organisation in the world after Disney.it opened in 1980 as a theme park

Leading name in location based, family entertainment which has seen the most successful and dynamic growth of any company in the sector over the last five years. There are 3000 employees The Alton Towers Resort is situated in 500 acres of Staffordshire countryside

Approximately 50 miles north of Birmingham and 50 miles south of Manchester.

1a.An organisation chart is a chart that represents the people within the business and their job roles. A business owner would be at the top then a manager, supervisor then staff. It helps a business to organise its staff by putting all staff in order of their hierarchy in the business. The more aware of the job they are doing the better they will be and the more organised they will be. This results in more customers and happy customers it also sets out Job roles, so that all employees know what they are supposed to be doing ,Levels of authority, so that employees know who they are responsible for, Channels of communication, so that all employees know what the business is trying to achieve Organisations can either be centralised or decentralised. A centralised organisation keeps the Control in the hands of a few senior Managers or directors. In a decentralised organisation, authority and control is delegated to the individual Managers.

In an organisational chart a business owner would be at the top then a manager, supervisor then staff.

3a. the term communication means the act or process of giving or exchanging information, signals, or messages as by talk, gestures, or writing. Communication is a two way process in the way that the message needs to be delivered effectively and understood by the receiver when the message is received there must be some kind of action to say that the receiver has received and understood the message. There are different methods of communication. That can be used at different times such as: Spoken (verbal) this is when people talk to each other it is suitable to use in a meeting or an interview.

Written this is text based work and can take the form of letters e-mails or company accounts.

Graphical this is used to show information and is used in pictures and charts

There is also video which is used in video conferring

3b.Alton towers will use different methods to make decisions and communicate. They use: e-mails.tanoids and verbal ways of communication.

4. There are no unofficial channels of communication or special design-making groups at Alton towers.

5. The organisational chart helps to contribute to the success of the businesses because it shows clearly who the employees should be receiving message from and who they should be passing messages on to. This keeps the business in control.

Who are we looking for:

Someone With a strong background in the catering industry or experience in a similar role, you'll join our enthusiastic team, confident in having a positive effect from the offset. Providing help to junior kitchen team members, you'll be comfortable conducting training and have the excellent interpersonal skills to gain the respect and trust of your team. More importantly, though, you'll combine a professional approach to your work with a sense of fun.
