Stakeholder Description

Rand Water

The primary and main sponsor of the project. The project is mandates by Rand Water and therefore it is imperative that this stakeholder is kept in the loop about all activities and consulted on every milestone/deliverable met.

Government

Government has the power and means to halt the project if laws and regulation are not followed. It is important that proper legal research on government procedures and laws are followed to avoid any delays or possible discontinuation of the project.

Municipalities

Municipalities are the main consumers of the water, making them the most demanding stakeholder. We need to make sure that water supply to municipalities is always sufficient.

Community

Suppliers

Our Suppliers are also our partners as they make sure that we get the water purified by supplying necessary chemicals and tools to deliver clean water to our other stakeholders, i.e. communities and businesses.

Businesses

Business can also be our sponsor, so it is very important that they are kept in the loop about any possible water cuts or disruptions.

Employees

Employees has the power to go on strike and halt the work, they need to me very well managed.

Unions

Unions are very dangerous as they can lead labour unrest or even community unrest, they should always be kept in the know about anything affecting the employees. A good relationship with unions is always advisable.

Contractor

Contractor almost play the role roles as they employees, also because their expertise are scarce and sometimes play crucial roles in some important project. Keeping them happy is a good strategy
