INTRODUCTION
In the current economical climate there are quite a few challenges and opportunities that a new manager has to face when they enter an industry. Challenges facing women entrepreneurs in Nigeria (Halkias, Baphne et al), changing scenario of librarianship in Pakistan: managing with the challenges and opportunities (Kanwal Ameen), new managerial challenges from the supply chain opportunities (Ballou, Ronald et al), investigating issues and challenges for customer involvement in business services innovation (Ballerup, Denmark et al), people challenges and opportunities (Stone, Florence M) are some sources that second the statement above.
People in Nigeria face a lot of problems. Hence Challenges facing women entrepreneurs in Nigeria (Halkias, Baphne et al) is an article which examines the business profiles of 67 women entrepreneurship and the social and economic challenges that women owners face in Nigeria. A survey showed a sample of 62 practicing Nigerian female entrepreneurs. The survey was divided into sections that recorded personal demographics, the entrepreneur's perceptions of the business environment and their venture and motivation and drives that lead to the end of their business. The data was collected and processed to produce distributions on every question in the survey followed by cross-tabulations between all variable. The survey also says there is not much difference between men and women managers once they have started their business.
Another article changing scenario of librarianship in Pakistan: managing with the challenges and opportunities (Kanwal Ameen) also tell us about the challenges and the opportunities that the managers face in the twenty-first century. The content in this article is based on literature, personal communication with foreign and national peer, research in the field of librarianship and the authors twenty-five year old experience .Libraries are being affected from the basic infrastructure to collections to services to needed to human resources. All communities need to turn challenges into opportunities and do something that is productive for them and their country. There has also been a growth in the librarianship since the beginning of the twenty-first century. The content also provides guidelines for the future plans of Pakistan and also encouraged growth of professional libraries.
New managerial challenges from supply chain opportunities (Ballou, Ronald et al) are an article that emphasizes on interactions among marketing, logistics, and production. It is associated with managing the logistics channel across the legal bounds of enterprises between firms and their suppliers. In this journal they discuss how in today's world the evolution of logistics are being defined and practiced, with the intent of highlighting the emerging opportunities for performance improvement. Focus is given to those problems inherent in managing inter-organizationally, since this is where traditional management tools and techniques are no longer appropriate. The new metrics, informational sharing systems and allocation-of-benefits procedures needed to operate in the expanded channel are discussed.
