Seductive, erotic, and lustful ladies are beautifully portrayed in Brian Viveros artwork. Brian does an immaculate job demonstrating the darkness behind the charm, also known as the Femme Fatale. The picture on beinart.com is presented without a title. Through research on the artist, this irresistible picture is ingeniously named "Viva la Muerte II(dos)". His artwork shows aspects of women in an erotically arousing way without degrading it.

The picture I chose by Viveros was painted in 2009 as part of his Desensitized collection. Viva La Muerte translates to long live death or live the death. I am amazed at the polished beauty underneath the mask that shines through. Brian has a unique way of mixing glamour and darkness and making it a wonderful piece of art. He started out with illustrating and moving to airbrush. His oil paintings started after. When Brians begins a new piece of art he usually starts with a sketching. If he has a title in mind he will work around that as well. Viveros will sketch the picture and then transfer is onto maple board. From there comes the oil painting. He says the frames for his artwork also play a significant part in the painting process. He feels the frames can sometimes lead him to what he should paint.

The piece I chose it not usual for Viveros. All of his work consists of the exotic smoking ladies. I picked Viva la Muerte dos because of the rose and the lips. She has a sparkling red gloss that brings out the red rose. I like Brian's reasoning on why he paints the girls the way he does. He doesn't paint them beaten and bruised because he likes them that way. It is to show an overcome war or battle. When I first picked the picture I was unsure of it but thought the girl had beauty and brokenness. The brokenness is a battle over come. I agree with his perspective on having to bleed a bit to overcome in this world. Brian's view Viva la Muerte is life, death, blood, and beauty. The painting is Brian's acknowledgment to his favorite director.

Overall Brian Viveros has a unique style. I thought he did a great job with the contrasts and lighting of Viva la Muerte dos. He is a phenomenal artist. Even though his work is mostly the same women he manages to paint them different each time. They all have their own story to tell.
