Koffee with Karan
The day KJ gave adieu to Koffe with Karan, somberness embraced me because KWK was not only satiety to my fathom for Bollywood but also was an epitome of intellect, emotions, vivacity and common sense. It put forth those facet and instincts of our favorite stars which remained hidden on screen.
At one end if KKHH and K3G established KJ's indefatigable director's cut off screen, then KWK unveiled his on-screen personality. His new avatar as host bolstered his maiden image of naïve and moron supporting actor of DDLJ. He is an unbeatable blend of IQ, EQ (Emotional Quotient) and SQ (Style Quotient)
His mystique aura drives others crazy to emulate him but no one can hold candle in front of him as one can imitate his corporeal instincts but not his wit and style.
Beside obsession of maverick and dashing KJ, KWK was also imbibed with suaveness and sobriety of his intentions, rationality of his question bank and last but not the least, the ultimate aroma of his C(K)offee which used to made the tryst a lifelong sojourn for the demigods and their ardent fans. The best part of show was the rapid fire round although without even a pinch of fire but the nuggets were scrutinized on their camaraderie with the peers.
The show had always remained a paradox and head turning drama, be it the laconic Dutt duo (Priya and Sanju) or loquacious Priety-Abhi. If the show revealed the spiritual facet of Sush and Sanju then it was not behind to expose candid and brazen half of Akshay Khanna (MC, BC, DC....). The coffee house was also enshrined with the halo effect of KJ's ilk when five off screen honchos shared their regret and triumph. Individuality of diva Madhuri Dixit and dashing Richard Gere on the couch was the testimony of their indefatigable mettle. If Beauty was at its exorbitance when beautiful Lara Dutta and ravishing Katrina shared the small screen after box office success of Partner then terse Big B and flamboyant Junior B exhibited their virility. If the mother-daughter conversation was full of skirmishes for Jaya B and Shweta B then Esha and Hema Malini were quite cogent to each other. Apart from revealing masculinity and feminist stuff, compatibility of reel life and real life couples was also flaunted. Although Kajol-SRK duo was the most admired one (privileged by KJ) but Shahid-Kareena dominated the title of "Made for each other". In midst of all this Priety Zinta (PZ, Basanti, Pritam Singh....) held the crown of maximum appearances. Albeit she always tried her best to square up with the coffee hamper but always went back with the critic's award for her bubbly and tomboyish attitude which she undoubtedly deserved. There were many more zealous and amazing conversations which can't be caged in the labyrinth of words but I must say that each one of them was a magnum opus.
