Global warming is an atmospheric issue due to the amount of pollutions that are released in the air daily. One cause of pollution is the large amount of waste occupying landfills. According to Brown (2004), it is because of bad life style habits in regards to recycling. Not recycling causes more landfills to be created which is causing so much air pollution in the air that we breathe on a daily basis. There are so many factors that contribute to global warming and I will be discussing them in this essay.
The Global Warming is the direct result of the ozone layer deteriorating due to chemicals like Freon and other chemical pollutants. According to Rodolfo and Siringan (2006), "The over use of ground water, and the sinking of land is also a key issue for regional sea levels to have increased". This type of behavior causes water to be extracted from the earth. After the water is removed, the land begins to shift, which causes the natural formation of the land. This type of events could cause landslides and sink holes which are also linked to global warming.
The key to migrating global warming is first and foremost for humans to stand up and care about the world we live in. If we as people make a conscious decision to improve upon our lifestyle this could help with improving air pollution. There are many efforts that can be taken to mitigate global warming. For example recycling because it decreases the amount of waste that is dumbed on landfills. There are many more ways including the use of heat and gas inside the home. If we lessen the amount of times we use heat and gas it will decrease the amount of carbon dioxide that is released into the air and the same with using energy efficient products.
When it comes to air pollutants indoors there are many sources that this type of pollution could come from. Materials that produce and release gas into the air indoors are the main sources of indoor pollution. If there is not enough ventilation indoors it increases the levels of indoor pollutants because there is not an adequate amount of outdoor air circulating to minimize the discharging of the gases that have been released. To name a few indoor pollutants are coal, wood, oil, gas, pesticide and household cleaning supplies.
The key to mitigating air pollution inside of the house the problem has to be identified. One way to discover whether or not your home is being affected by air pollution is to be mindful of health issues. If your health starts to deteriorate whether it is allergies or major respiratory problems, these are signs of air pollutants, especially if you notice that every time you enter a certain area of the house you get sick. Next you will have to measure the pollutant levels inside the house. For example, radon is a colorless and odorless gas and there is no way to tell that it is present. In order to measure for radon you will have to purchase
