                       Executive Summery

Farmer of our country need to introduced with new ideas and innovation to maximize their harvesting power and increase their profit. Farmers can get access to any sorts of information needed based on their situation and help them is the core objective of the idea of our consultancy firm. Bangladesh which is considered to be the most dependent on the agriculture rather than other sector is more than 40% of capability to labor force. Countries’ economies depend on the hand of our farmers and they need to guide in a right direction with the help of ICT based farming. Our plan is all about the betterment of the farmers of our country and help to improve their situation with the help of Information and technology. At the end of the report anyone can see the goal and outcome through the project.


Description

Bangladesh which most concerned employment sector is Agriculture depends on nothing but farmers itself. It helps to employs 47% of total labor force and 16% of GDP in our country. It helps our macroeconomics and food security as of our backbone in this country.

Our team wants nothing but develop an idea by which they (farmers) get the best support in their individual sector (fishing, corps, poultry etc.) with the use of nothing except Information and technologies. Our web page along with 24/7 customer support and fingertip of mobile call will open the great opportunity for them.

E-farmer.com, E-farmer/Facebook, call-919 etc.will be the pioneer in the supporting business for the farmers in Bangladesh. Now how it will work? It will take information from the farmer at the first place and then analyze the data/ information with latest technology available for the farmers to support their need or problem and then provide advice for them. It is more like consultancy firm for the farmers, where they get the best they could possibly afford with almost free.

Information technology is the sector in which both of our countries people along with farmer are fall behind. Use of ICT will be the game changer for this sector. It will also develop new idea and technology for farming whether it is crops, fisheries, poultry, dairy etc. and spread them across the country along with the world so that everybody could have benefited.

What type of challenge farmer face at the first place? What are the barriers to support them at first hand? What need to be considered carefully, so that they might not be manipulated by the others with wrong information? And all these criteria need to be checked when the final step will be taken place.

Agricultural land in Bangladesh was last measured at 70.12% in 2011, according to the World Bank. So it seems that the market of our project is huge and vast and need to be considered with great care.

Competitors

Government trying to help the farmers with the manpower but it seems that our govt. doesn’t want or know the real power and strength lies beneath the ICT. And by using it will help the farmers a lot with economically and physically. There are no competitors for us those who will try to create barrier of entry except the govt. Agricultural call center 16123 is the govt. initiative with lack of support of manpower and full of manipulating information.

Segmentation:

There are some criteria by which we like to divide our farmers.

  • Need based
  • Portion of land based
  • Geographical area based
  • Financial support based
  • Educated or illiterate based etc.

Targeting:

As it is the idea to support farmers those who are in need at first place. Then it will target the farmers those are in need of our supportive information and their livelihood depends on it.

  • Little or less portion of land
  • Bankrupt or financially weak farmers

Positioning:

Advertisement through radio, TV channel, Newspapers, Internet will let the farmers to know about our effort and idea about ICT to bring the ideas at little or less cost. If govt. supports us then it will be viral among the farmers that there has been an idea in which we (farmers) could be benefited with less cost.

 Marketing Strategy of E-Farmer

Product:

First it is the product and services that define the business and then the other factors which might variable factors of the business does. Ours are the information services as consultancy firm would do the business in the market.

  • What are the best seed in the market?
  • Best fertilizer and its usage.
  • Land quality and way to improve harvest.

Price:

As our customers are farmers of our country, so the price should be very affordable for them and the information should be genuine and effective. And the price for the all farmers needs to be constant. Per service is only @5 tk. And additional cost could be another 2 tk for additional service.
