In 1894, the Company of Bata is founded by Thomas Bata, Anna and Antonia Bata. The T. & A. Bata Shoe Company has been registered in Zlin, Czechoslovakia by the Bata family. It departs from the century of old traditions of shoe-making Batas and innovative for beginning the Company quickly departs from the traditional model of a one-man cobblers' workshop. In 1985, Antonin leaves the Company to join the army and his sister, Anna shortly follows after she gets married. Thomas Bata took over the place of the Company and become leadership alone. Furthermore, in 1897, Thomas has introduced a pair of shoe called 'Batovka'. Batovka is the first fabric shoe and with it production of mechanization. In year 1905, the product of Bata has been reaches 2,200 pairs of shoe per day. The shoe is produced by 250 employees that worked in the Company. It had constant the innovation of footwear to meet customers' needs. Thomas Bata's make a motto is 'Our Customer is Our Master'.
Other than that, in year 1909, Thomas Bata first export sales and the first agencies in Germany, in the Balkans and in the Middle East. Bata shoes is the excellent quality and the available for more styles and had not been offered before when it demand grow on rapidly. The sale has been reached 2 million pairs per year and it produced by 5000 employees in year 1917. The production equipment is imported. The company prospers to do the communities where it operates. Bata creates stores, builds housing, schools and hospitals near factories. Before that, the first world war in year 1922 was currencies devalued and customer purchasing the low of the power at all the time. Bata cut down the prices of shoes by 50% because the stores are flooded and the customers forcing the industry to follow the lead.
Other than that, in year 1925, the 'Bata system' is an organization's operations in autonomous workshops with employee profit sharing the introduced since 1932. Each one in the company is consider an entrepreneur. After that, The Bata School of Work was founded. It provides rigorous education and having practical training to the future Bata managers. By 1929, the introduction of the customs was tariffs. Bata had response by building of the factories. A Bata factory is build at Swiss, Germany, England, France, Yugoslavia, Poland, Holland, USA and India by the early 1930s' and Bata is the world's leading for footwear exporter.
In year 1932, Thomas Bata is killed in a plane crash when he is on the way to visit a factory under construction in Switzerland. When Thomas Bata is dead, the company was taking over by his uncle, Jan Bata. Jan Bata make the company becomes intensifies diversifications into the production of tires, aircrafts, bicycles, machineries. Thomas J.
