Benjamin Franklin once said "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Freedom and security are two essential needs to a successful and powerful nation, but are rarely obtained without giving up one for the other. The question is which is more important and what we are willing to sacrifice in order to obtain it.
Giving up freedom for security is not only a bad idea, it is a deadly idea. Governments in the past all over the world have used false flag events like 9/11 to gain further power and rob their citizens of liberty, not civil liberty but God given liberty, which is only enshrined on a paper as a statement of what we all are born with and no matter the law nor government can take it from us.
As Patrick Henry said, speaking on liberty. "Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined." Yet we should believe by giving up a little of that force we will be safer. Our borders are just as wide open as they ever have been. Many estimates put the average illegal alien entering the country over the Mexico border at 1 million people per year. If that is the case then any would be terrorist could just fly in to Mexico and walk across the border if they are so determined. So why just search the citizens who have not been accused of a crime or been served with a warrant based on probable cause when that is a foundational law of our Constitution?
