Big Mac under attack
Most of all know that McDonald's is the most famous and largest fast food company in this world. They serve 46 million people a day at its 30000 restaurant around world. But, go through this video, we know that McDonald's have many problem in that time.
First of all, we can't be denied that McDonald's is the largest fast food company in this world; also they lead to the whole fast food industry in America. But in the end of nineteen nineties, McDonald's have many problems, even get into a crisis at one time. In that time, the McDonald's get into an economic crisis, because of the cost of food in get higher, they can't get more profit from restaurant. So many franchisees left and more and more restaurants were closed. Furthermore, during that time, not only McDonald's service and quality can't satisfy with the customers; also the restaurants didn't clean timely. Others are competition, in that time; more and more fast food restaurants are developed, such as Burger King, Subway, Fatburger, and KFC. In that time, McDonald's only take a price competition with other fast food restaurants, didn't change the menu, but others did. Also, during this year the rate of fat people is get higher because of they always take McDonald's food. Therefore, McDonald's was judged junk food by government, and they require for McDonald's show the calorie list for each food, and show they don't take McDonald's everyday for people. The CEO of McDonald's said they served is a health food, like beef, chicken, and pork. Certainly, they won't do that, they can't lose customers, they need more customers, more new customers, more often, and then they can get more profit, but in other side, they have to face the crisis.
After few years, McDonald's know what the problem they are is. They try to develop the new products. They succeed. They got many new food, such as fresh fruit, salad, the new style burger, and yogurt. They are very welcome for customers. Also they fix the problem in the last five or ten years, the low service and quality, and clean the restaurants.
