we as black people are sometimes faced with the dilemma to either be black or white. why should that be we can't we be taken as we are ,why can't we be able to show or talents and preferences with being ridiculed and and judged. these were questions that i asked as a child growing up ..my parents namely my dad sent me to schools that he thought would be best as i was a black child, and due to his decisions i had a hard childhood maybe if he knew how alone ,weird and even depressed he might of changed his mind but then maybe not ,it would have to be as in his eyes a sacrifice .to be acknowledged in this world its either education OR COLOR when your black ..not your personalities or your smile or your love for life make a choice he'd say to be someone or nothing . the saddest thing is when parents are the ones feeding their children with these norms . ''don't bring a black man for a son-in-law for me u hear'' these are the words many heard, and grew up with including me ......... am i not good enough ,sometimes we sell our-self short . why do we bend to society's take on black people ...........haven't we suffered enough mental slavery has subjugated you to no self esteem we can be someone .....come to think of it we are we just need the world to see .........look pass our color see something deeper . see something pure, real and special .............see me.
