  1. Blizzard Entertainment Company’s Introduction

  Blizzard Entertainment is an American video game developer and publisher, Michael Moweemi, Alan Adhan, and Frank Pierce, graduates of the University of California, Los Angeles, on February 8, 1991, Silicon & Synapse was founded by the name. Its headquarters is located in Irvine, California. In 1994, the company changed its name to Chaos Studios. Since the discovery of another company named after Chaos Studios, the company was eventually named Blizzard Entertainment. ( Wikipedia (n.d.))

  Initially, the company was committed to making game ports for other studios. In 1994, the company was acquired by distributor Davidson & Associates for US$6.75 million. Shortly thereafter, Blizzard’s groundbreaking masterpiece "Warcraft: Humans and Orcs" was put on sale. In 1996, Blizzard acquired the Vulture Games Company, after which Vulture Games had been developing the Diablo series for Blizzard. Vulture Games Company was renamed Blizzard North and Blizzard North was located in San Mateo, California. In January 1997, Blizzard launched the action role-playing game "Diablo" and launched its Battle.Net online game. On January 15, 1998, Blizzard introduced the classic real-time strategy game "Starcraft", becoming the world's largest sales game of the year. Blizzard has changed hands since its acquisition by Davidson & Associates. Until 1998 Blizzard Entertainment became part of the Vivendi Group's Vivendi Games. (Opff. (2005.05.04))
