BPO in India - Many of the International Organisation were ready to provide huge salaries unheard of in the Indian societies to the Employees hired for their call centres. The salary provided to a BPO employee was higher than the salary provided to a government Employee at the time when the BPO boom began. When converted into Dollar all the big thousand Rupees were just hundreds of dollars which meant that the global companies were actually spending less on giving away salaries to Indian people and which would have not been the case if they had to provide salaries for people in their own country. Indians were also known to be courteous and helpful which was a trait that the foreign multinationals loved so that their customers could be served better. BPO's demanded night shifts which made it all more adventurous for the youth to get hired. Working in the nights was a new thing for the youngsters. They also had the big chance of earning more and also they could settle down quickly. The BPO craze seemed to last longer that it was thought earlier. More and more people joined BPO's looking for greener pastures. India's economy was also growing rapidly; the government could raise prices of every commodity just because the nations spending power had increased due to the money brought in by the foreign investors. But all this hustle and bustle never bothered an employee of a BPO. He was working all nights and sleeping through most of the day and rarely had a glimpse of the morning sun. Such was the condition of the BPO employee and they even failed to notice this because of the money they were able to earn.
