Brief Autobiographical Sketch

Sharon Baker

Biographical

I am an easygoing person who pretty much gets along with everyone. I love chocolates (my weakness) and I hate math even though I am good at it. I just hate looking at numbers clumped together. My role model is my dad. He is the most patient, understanding, supportive, strong, and the smartest person I have ever known and he means the world to me. What makes me unique is my ability to solve problems. I am not talking about math problems. I am talking about problems in life. I can usually overcome those problems without asking for anyone's help. I feel like it's a blessing in disguise.

Retrospective

I took geometry ACC last year. It was a good experience. Not to brag but it was a piece of cake for me and for a lot of other people I am sure. Mr. Zimmerman did a very good job in explaining the concepts. Surprisingly I still remember most of them. College

I want to be an orthodontist and it normally takes eight years to become one. But there are accelerated programs that are about six or seven years long and are dual admission programs. These programs are hard to get in but I have the grades to get in these programs. My target school is in Florida. It's called Nova Southeastern University. My goal is to get a 1900 on my SATs.

AP

I am taking this course because it's a college course. I am also considering giving the AP test in April. Statistics is definitely an important tool in any science major. Besides taking this class won't harm me in any way it's only going to benefit me. I don't think I've ever had any previous connection with statistics. However, companies determine the sale of their products using statistics. The scores for golf are determined by statistics as well. Statistics is also used to determine storms or earthquakes.
