Excutive summary:
This research is going to find a solution for the dispute of increasing workers' salaries in Foxccon. In order to find a proper solution, I searched online and went to the library to read books about the management of industry. Also, I interviewed some businesswomen to help me determine the application of the two solutions I suggested. And in the purpose of benefiting both workers and industry, I use the Decision Trees to help me determine the profit of the solution for both industry and workers. Finally, after discussion of two solutions, which are to move the whole industry to Southeast Asian and to give workers more welfare, I find the second solution is better for Foxccon to solve the issue and give them some instructions of how to do it.
1.0 Introduction:
As we know, when an industry becomes bigger, more issues will come. There are two types of issues that industry has, which is external issues and internal issues. In this research, we will resolve an industrial dispute. This business dispute, which is to increase workers' salaries, was conducted by workers in Foxconn. This is because employees in Foxconn have to work at least 10 hours without break everyday and they do not have any time to hang out with friends or even visit their families. But their salaries did not increase. They felt that this treatment is unfair. I think this kind of dispute is typical in China nowadays. This issue sometimes is not a big deal but is essential to industry. If industry cannot handle this problem well, the workers in industry will not focus on their work, reducing the whole company's effectiveness. So both industry and employees need to find a way to solve this issue. Also, according to decision tree we learned, when industry makes a decision, it has to consider several solutions and calculate whether it is a profitable option. I hope this research can help find a solution for solving this issue, benefiting both industry and workers.
