Executive Summary
Our café is started as corporation, named Cactus café in Kepong area. The Cactus café is different with the tradition café. We have using the various species of cactus to decorate our café to match our theme. Besides that, the Cactus café emphasize on the interaction and communication between people and applies this concept into food. The foods and beverages size will be design for group of customer enjoy example BIG Chicken plant and Tower of Dragon fruit Juice. All of these cuisines have to share with family member and friend. Thorough the sharing food, family and member can enhance their relationship. Overall, for those who like natural and socialize, the Cactus café will be their choice.
From our research, we found that Malaysia has a lot of theme café, but it hasn’t themed by plants. So, we plan to build up a café which themed by cactus to let our customer enjoy their meal and release stress. Secondly, now a day people like to communicate with other via the smart phone or computer. This phenomena cause people like to stay at home or surf social media during gathering. Cactus café will emphasize the concept of face to face communicate and apply it on food and beverage.
That is few café in Kepong area like Wolf Gang, Moment Cuisine. These café also provide the western cuisine and Cactus café may compete with them. Although these café is have a strong customer base and customer preference but it does not means we standing at the bad situation. The competitive advantages of Cactus café is theme. The decoration of our café will on the cactus as the main characteristic. There is without any plant theme café around in the area of our business. Besides that wealways offer a reasonable price for group customer and provide various type of product to fulfil each type of customer need and wants.
Introduction of Company
The cafe is opened as a corporation, named as “Cactus Café SdnBhd” (CC) in Kepong area. The ownership of the company is equally owned by every shareholders. Shareholders are Lim Lee Teng, PhangHui Yin, Soh Siew Gin, Tan Hai Chen and Vincent Eng Yong Chye. The directors of the company is PhangHui Yin and Vincent Eng Yong Chye.
Our theme of café is “cactus” which linked to the name of our café, “Cactus Cafe”. The café will be decorated with various species of cactus. The environment of café with cactus will create a natural atmosphere in the café. Customers will feel relax and comfortable in our café. In our shop, we will have a corner to sell some miniature cacti to the customers as souvenirs. In our café, we would focus on the interaction and communication between families and friends. Therefore, customers can have a bonding time with their families and friends in our café.
We will provide coffee, western food like chicken chop, and fresh fruit juice, especially dragon fruit juice. Dragon fruit juice will be our main drinks in juices because dragon fruit is linked to our theme. Dragon fruit is the fruit of some cactus species and it is very beneficial to our health.

Cactus cafe’s mission is to provide a comfortable place for our customer in order to increase social interaction among them.We hope to provide a comfortable place that can accommodate some group of people to have a good socialise location to them. For example, the family group, students group and also colleague group of people can chatting, discussing or even playing table games in our café with a leisure environment.
The goal of our business “Cactus Café” is aim to achieve growth 10% in sales revenue per year. Besides that, we aim to open 1 outlet of our cactus concept café with 3 years. We aim the market in Petaling Jaya for our business expansion in future.
Product/Market Scope
The main course offered by us is the western food. Our main course will be provided with a bigger size compare to the normal size of those dishes offer by others. This is because, our main target was to the group of customers, therefore we will provide the special dishes such as bigger size or more ingredient on that dish design. For example, we will design our main course in a family size, friend size and also colleague size. By this food design of big size, the group of customer can enjoy the affordable price by dividing the price among their group. Besides that, our main course will also provide multiples food on those special dishes. Therefore, our customer can enjoy different foods offer by us from one special dishes.
Other than that, we will also offered ice-cream that was put into the plastic flowerpot in the concept of cactus which will look like a small plant to the dessert. This will be our special dessert that linked to our main theme which is cactus. By offering this dessert can attract customer to capture with the plant and upload to their social media which is indirectly popular our café name.
In addition, the cactus theme dinnerware or dinner set will be provide with our dishes in cactus café. This is to link our main theme to our dishes offered. For example, the plate and cupwill be ink by the cactus logo.
On top of that, we also offered the beverage which was in tower size such as milo tower, orange juice tower and so on. The beverage tower was used to serve the group of customer which is our main target to our business. We brings the trend of the milo tower into our business product, also create new flavour of the tower which is orange juice tower for our business selling point.
Basis for Differentiation
Our differences from others café which is our theme “Cactus”. There is without any plant theme café around in the area of our business. We are the only Cactus theme café offered in that areas. The decoration of our café will on the cactus as the main characteristic. Besides that, we also hope to bring the message of nature in the country to the customer. Therefore, we decide to bring the cactus into our café as the unique business point. In means that, our café will be decorate by the real cactus. In addition, we offer affordable price to the group of customers with a good foods offered. We aim to price the product at an affordable price level to the customers.
