Can Marriage Be Saved?
I selected the link in the assignments folder to article 4 "Can Marriage Be Saved".
I chose this article because I thought it was going to be about how to save a marriage or a marriage experience, but it was not about a marriage at all. I did not know that by getting pregnant at a young age, parent's relationship, education, job, or culture could predict a marriage lasting or not. I believe that if you love each other, respect, and are willing to fight for their marriage that nothing else matter. The people that has a college degree and a good job, better income, better social life tent to stay together and offer a better life and resource to their children's.
This is a very good subject that people tent to over look and not care as much. I did not believe that the person's life style, background and college education could after your marriage and the way your child grows up and live their life and that would also affect their child's life. In today's world we need a good job to provide us enough money to pay our bills and be able to provide a good education to our child. We have to pay so our child can have a better education and be able to provide a good resource as well. Since 1950's things has change a lot in the world today. To have a good education we need to have a good job to be able to afford to pay for our education, so we can offer our child something better than what was offer to us. The struggle of being married with an education or career are hard for the relationship. In 1950 It was common for women to be the homemaker and take care of the children's while the men worked and provided for the family. Now days you have to be a middle class family or above to consider the wife to stay home while only the men work.
I believe the best and only way to change is by setting a better example for our children to get a college career and show than the right path to take which a getting a good education before marriage, so they can teach their children and on and on.
