Carlos is visionary leader he managed to do turnaround, he returned Nissan to profitability and became celebrity in Japan. Carlos work constantly and he is committed to organization. Creating and sustaining a vision for an organization calls for discipline and creativity. A business leader must have the passion, strength of will, and necessary knowledge to achieve long-term goals. A focused individual who can inspire his team to reach organizational goals is a visionary business leader. Carlos is have all of this.

Nissan's international strategy is both multi-domestic and global. Nissan goal is to have big share in global market but on the other site Nissan try to achieve maximum local responsiveness by customizing both their product offering and marketing strategy to match different national conditions. Nissan is making different cars for different places Nissan Versa in USA, Renault Clio in Europe and Nissan Tilda in Asia or pickup trucks for Africa and Asia. This strategy help them to adapt their product to different needs. Nissan demonstrate efficiency with fast decisions and their senior manager now operates with urgency even when firm is not in crisis. So Nissan is very fast on solving situations. Also Nissan factory is close to key markets. Nissan invest in Research and Development Department for innovative products.

Before Carlos became CEO of Nissan people and decisions where very slow thanks to Japanese bureaucratic style. There thinking was very old and not useful anymore. When Ghosn become Nissan's CEO he introduced proactive style, senior manager now operate with urgency even when everything is normal. He is always in rush even his meeting are short. Meager inspires workforce and visiting them often on factory floor. Nissan's mos mundane events are managed like big media shows.

Global firms pursue a relativity centralized approach to international operation. What are the characteristics of the trend toward global integration of company operations . How does Nissan demonstrate these characteristics.

CEO itself use centralized approach and he visit regional centers. Nissan also is going toward centralizations because to save money. Management established joint design center in Amsterdam. Many factories are sharing design platform because every of them saves 500 million dollars a year. Three quarters of car parts are used buy both Nissan and Renault. Common parts are shared by different models.
