Studies show that when kids message their peers during class they receive substantial increases on their report card grades. If the class you are in is tedious and uninteresting you can take out your cell phone and talk to friends in other classes. If the school board decides to allow cell phones, it will provide students with easier access to tools such as, calculators and calendars. It will also provide students with something to do while sitting in dreary classrooms, and listening to monotonous teachers. The Banning of Cell Phones rule should be abolished from the school board's handbook. First of all, students can use their cell phone to converse with friends in other classes. When a student is taking a test he/she can message a friend that was in the class before them, and the friend can tell that person the answers. As a result, the cell phone will help some students receive a substantial increase on their report card grade. One time, I was messaging a friend during the FCAT, and I didn't know the answer to a question. My friend did know the answer to that particular question, and I must say that it was significantly more helpful to have my friend's point of view. This being so, she can deliver the food to the scene where I may have passed out due to having a paucity of food. Having a cell phone at school can help in life or death situations like this. Lastly, cell phones have very useful utilities such as calculators and calendars that are conveniently built in. It is convenient to have these tools with me all the time. These utilities can be used in school in particular for subjects like math. Statistics from the 2010 census show, that seven out of ten people prefer to use calculators on their cellular devices as opposed to using hand-held calculators. Some calculators on cellular devices are even more sophisticated and have more complex features than most standard hand-held calculators. Many students hate carrying their planner around especially when they know that they already have a superb calendar on their cell phone. The calendars that are built into most modern cell phones can be programmed to remind you to do your homework. Isn't that the same purpose of the planner? So why haul the extra weight? Lets
