Infosys is an Indian company established in 1981. In the journey of 29 years, Infosys has emerged as one of the biggest consulting and IT companies in India. It pioneered the global delivery model and became the first Indian company to be listed in NASDAQ.

With the growth of a company, the competition also rises. It is very important for the company to keep its strategy flexible as per the market conditions. We saw the same approach in the growth of Infosys. It is among the live examples of successful execution of business models.

So, what was the principal innovation that made Infosys successful? - among other reasons we could say that the company managed to realize what was the market pain before anyone else and they managed to translate it into successful business model. Business model proposed by Infosys redefined market needs, improved service time and quality and conceptually changed the game rules that bigger players were following.

The business plan of Infosys was plain and simple. They managed to identify problematic areas of IT projects, they realized that IT projects needed more and more detailed, customized business process mapping, which in most cases was done by independent consultants without relevant IT background. This was the reason why the projects implemented by Infosys competitors had lower quality and were holding high risk of failure or contingency. On the other hand IT project implementations were taking in average 1 year to implement, which also was a big disadvantage for IT projects.

The presence of Infosys is not only in India but it is a diversified presence globally. Below are the major locations where Infosys is present:

4) Asia Pacific

5) Africa

The strategy of a company changes from place to place. The main strategy of Infosys has been to provide end to end range of consulting, technology, engineering and outsourcing. Infosys's clients derive the business values they have always been looking for from enterprise transformations. A survey was done and it proved that Infosys solutions are always cutting edge and relevant.

The key points for the success of Infosys are:

* Took several measures to create a high-level of diversity in its workforce by enhancing its recruiting efforts in different countries.

* Primarily pays attention towards their ethno-centric corporate culture.

* Defining a road map - key initiatives, timelines, dependencies, risks, etc
