Challenges in Identifying Mental Disorders

This is my point of view, in today’s society there is positively no such thing as a
normal when it comes to being a human being. An individual can have normal
actions and live a certain type of normal but there could be that one
person who can be completely different than the way someone else on the other
side of the world is living. Everyone has their own sense of normal, however in
each individuals sense of normal there is a version where one or several other
people may have different views, there are some that are considered to be
average, there are those who are considered above average, and those who are
considered somewhat below average. Therefore, it would be naturally hard
to conclude whether there is abnormal behavior or even a mental disorder.
Everyone is different and although a great portion of the world differ on what

The mentally ill are a part of this large amount of people. Mental illness is
mainly defined as a disease of the mind and also the psychological state of
someone who has emotional or behavioral problems that are problematic
enough where they will require psychiatric intervention. People suffer with
different mental disorders which requires to be treated with different kinds of
medical care, given different treatment by “normal” people, and some are even
put into hospitals which can be like a nightmare to most.
In the medical fields today, people with different types of mental disorders are
given various kinds of medical care. It requires continuous treatment and
constant updates on conditions. Most of the progress was created in the past
two decades. Many conditions can be treated with various types of treatments.
One type of treatment is medication and can be treated by pills taken on a
daily basis to help control certain conditions. Another treatment is counseling,
which is also known as psychotherapy, this is when there is work done with
another person that focuses mainly on the mind. Group Therapy is also
another treatment which is almost the same as Psychotherapy but is more of a
focus group of other mentally ill and allows the individuals to share what they
feel and/or to learn about how other people feel and deal with similar things.
There are specific therapies that deal with how to control and modify behavior
