CHANGE ANALYSIS - VISION

Change Analysis- Vision

August 7, 2011

The organization that will be discussed in the Vision Analysis Paper will be DeVry University. Although DeVry University may already have a vision statement, mission statement, and strategy statement, I will attempt to develop a new set of statements that align with my opinions and ideas of what the organization should or could use. In addition to developing the three statements, I will also talk about how these statements can be used to drive change and how these statements can put limits on an organization when it comes to change.

DeVry's mission statement would be "We change the direction of people's lives." The mission statement would be a direct reflection of what DeVry ultimately does and why DeVry has been so successful over its 80 years of existence. The mission statement would assist in driving change by offering a simple but direct statement of why DeVry is DeVry. The mission statement could hinder change if it is misunderstood.

Finally, the strategy statement for DeVry University must be written as well. The strategy statement should speak to the how when referring to the vision statement. DeVry's strategy statement would be "continuing to offer the most student
