China unveils feed-in tariff for solar power, Chinese government proposed the first feed-in tariff to companies for using solar energy to make energy renewable. It is an environmental strategy to do with business, and this project is still in progress through the energy policy and intends to increase the use of solar power globally. Therefore, China will soon become the largest major buyer of solar panels. When they succeed on this project, everybody in this society will benefit either in their business or improve the environment, especially China and the companies who achieved it. Reason being, the renewable energy is such a huge jump for Earth's eco-system. Germany and Italy were once the largest producers of solar power. However, China became the largest country of producing solar energy today. China can use solar energy to produce many products, for example solar tents and solar panels.
On the other hand, there is disagreement about this new tariff on solar project because there was other tariff on wind project released in 2009. And this wind project led China into the most important wind farm operator. Therefore, some part of the group believes that the solar project is not necessary. But why don't we turnaround and see, wind project has become the biggest one in the world. Even solar project in China is already the largest, but it can be more successful.
Nowadays, people do care about our environment more than ever before, therefore companies have to be responsible and lead their company as eco-advantage as well. In the article of "Green to Gold How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage" (Etsy, Winston) Daniel C. Esty and Andrew S. Winston says that there are five point of eco-advantage step on business, Rule-makers and watchdogs, Idea Generator and opinion leaders, Business partners and competitors, consumers and community, and invesors and risk assessors. For example, consumers purchase the solar products and solar energy in turn benefits the community by providing energy that is eco-friendly. In business partners and competitor, China and solar power companies are business partners in a way, because China will give incentive to the companies to create better technology for solar energy thus benefitting China's own pollution problems.
The analyst believes that the tariff is not important, as they do not see it as profitable. This relates with the article "The value of the world's ecosystem services and natural capital" (Costanza) "because ecosystem services are not fully 'captured' in commercial markets or adequately quantifies in terms comparable with economic services and manufactured capital, they are often given too little weight in policy decisions." (Costanza) Therefore they believe that solar energy won't be profitable because we still cannot harness the full
