Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back." (Luke 6:36-38). Islamism "golden rule" not one of you is a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. Jainism "golden rule" a man should wander about treating all creatures as he himself would be treated. I found no difference in these three golden rules; they all give direction to treat others as you would want to be treated, give and it shall be given back to you.
The golden rule is a part of my life and has been, since I was old enough to recite the Ten Commandments and understand their true meaning. As I grew older, it became clearer what the "golden rule" proposed. Once I became a devoted Christian, wife, mother, employee the "golden rule" became a part my daily routine of life. I'm not perfect there has been time in my life that I wanted to forget the golden rule I was taught so many years ago. I'm thankful to my parents for implanting the wisdom of the "golden rule" and allowing me to see it work in their lives; I'm able to plant those same seeds of wisdom in my own children lives.
