L In Charles Dickens's novel The Tale of Two Cities it is debated whether Charles Darnay or Sydney Carlton is more heroic. Carlton is British whereas Darnay is of the French decent, though both live in SoHo, England. While Darnay is a well-groomed gentleman with hopes and aspirations, Carlton is an un-kept, drinker, who lacks respect, energy and a purpose.
