It is more dangerous to be too closed-minded.
Education is the act or process of being taught general knowledge, reasoning, and judgment, and knowing when and how to use it. To become educated, one must have an open mind and be receptive to new thoughts and ideas, better known as curiosity. If one is not receptive to new thoughts or ideas, then they are to be closed-minded. However, to be closed-minded does not mean that one is uneducated; ignorance may be to blame. When a person has a closed mind, they are missing what else is out there, being new thoughts or ideas, cultures, or beliefs.
