According to Baucus "I have had many discussions with Montana farmers and ranchers regarding the Farm Bill. Time and time again I have heard that the next generation of farmers is disappearing - they're leaving the farms and not coming back". Montana farmer leave the farm because country failed to deal with resource. Agriculture in Montana has been worse than before because of several reasons. The apple trees drained all nutrients out of soil. This mean nothing can grow in these soils anymore, so agriculture areas in Montana have decrease by the time. Furthermore, water supply in Montana starts to diminish. The number of glacier is decreasing, so irrigation for farming is less due to the restrict amount of water.

In the past, growing apple orchard was very popular because it is profitable. People do not realize that these apple trees drained nutrient out of soil. However, apple orchard was the profitable business, so people did it in many areas. In addition, Main water resources in Montana come from glacier, and the weather is getting warmer and drier. Snow on mountains and glaciers obviously decrease.

Montana have border to the sea, desalinization technology is effective way to filter dirty and salty water to become fresh water. Filtering salty water through membranes and removing the salt through electro-dialysis and reverse osmosis is the process of desalinization technology. This method can make fresh water for using in their country Moreover, building dams is also essential for irrigating water in Montana.

In case of Montana's water problems, building dams is necessary. There is less fresh water resource in Montana, and most fresh water resource comes from glacier. In my point of view, water problem is the most serious issue for modern day in Montana. Water is necessary for people. Building dams in suburb areas, and protect the dam from dust. The government needs to discover the other ways for maintain water from various resource.
