Scenario I
Verbal communication and e-mail are the best choices for getting your team to develop a global marketing strategy for the new beverage because if you hold a meeting to quickly discuss what needs to be done, some quick brainstorming can be done, and everyone can go back to their desks and continue to brainstorm on their own or in small groups. The leader can e-mail a quick copy of what was discusses so everyone has a copy and if anyone was out of the office they are also informed of what was discussed.
The best way to convey our marketing strategy t the vice president would be written and verbal communication. Written and verbal communication would be best because the team leader could meet with he/she to show the mock up of the marketing ideas and explain the ideas and answer any questions.
Scenario II
To contact the IT department the form of communication would depend on which generally gets a quicker response but I would choose either verbal via phone call or e-mail. A phone call may be best in this situation if the IT department answers their phones quickly because they may be able to quickly resolve the issue while you're on the phone and give you the login and password. However, e0mail may be quicker if there are long hold times for phone calls and if the IT department needs to check into it they can and you are not waiting on hold, so you can get other work accomplished while waiting for a response.
To communicate the new login name and password to all employees I would use secure e-mail because you can send one e-mail to everyone in a very short amount of time and the login name and password would be accurate versus calling each person.
Scenario III
The best way to inform my employees of the reduction in workforce would be verbal communication. I would hold a meeting to let them know what is going on and when I would be making a decision. Verbal communication would be best because an e-mail is too impersonal for a delicate situation like this and a meeting would give employees a chance to ask questions.
Again verbal communication is the best way t communicate privately which employees are being let go because you don't want an e-mail being sent to the wrong person, it also gives a change to explain why he or she is being let go, by seniority or attendance or whatever the method was used.
