Communication Disorders
Thinking of my daily life right now I do take many things for granted. You never realize how hard it is for people with any type of disorder or disability, until you meet them. Personally I never have met anyone like this, but I assume their extraordinary people because they face so many problems and challenges on daily bases that we could never even imagine. People who may experience these disorders sometimes might even have a hard time explaining what they are truly thinking. Imagine having all these amazing thoughts in your head and not be able to tell them simply because your speech won't allow the words to form like you would like. If I had to be in their shoes for even just one day I personally think it would be so difficult and I couldn't even handle it. These people are extremely tough and so willing to learn. All of us don't think about how difficult life is for this people, we don't even take the time to think about others. Even trying to help someone else is out of the question. If we just took second to think about someone else other than ourselves, we truly could make a difference. As a society we should include and treat them equally. If all of us understood how hard it is for people with a disability or disorder, we could truly help them. Yet in all this we have only talked about their daily lives, imagine going to school. They have special classrooms, teachers, and sometime different learning tools. They deal with so much every day that it's amazing how they seem to stay positive. Some people may also have a physical disability which makes it even harder for them. So at the end of the day we all should be truly thankful for everything we have, including our health. You never know what life has in store for you. Therefore when life gives you an opportunity to help someone with a disability or disorder take it and experience a life in their shoes.
