When I compared New York to Maryland I didn't realize that the transition would be difficult to adjust to the way I became accustomed to. For one thing New York has that city is a vibrant and electric place bright street lights , busy street , with 24 hours public transportation including Saturday & Sunday. On the other hand Maryland has the country feeling, very dim street lights, with limited transpiration service. In New York I have taken the bus or trains in order to get to work between the hours of 6am to 2pm. But, In Maryland service begin after 5:00 am until midnight, which mean I will have to find alternative ways to get commenting. The subways system in New York can be crowded little filthy and filled with homeless people, but II don't have to wait long. The metro system in Maryland are very large base on depth going down or heights when come out, but waiting time are long this include metro bus. I had no need for vehicle in New York because of public transportation. However, there days I wish I had a car, when it was laundry and grocery shopping day. Traveling on busy train or bus or walking down the street with shopping bags, those were the days I wish for a car there was days. But, Maryland It was necessary for me to obtain my driver license in order to commute, and the days of carrying heavy bags were over. I'm able to filled the truck with all the heavy bags making more than one stops, and it has given me a of freedom.

Another, difference between New York and Maryland is my place on employment. I didn't know what to expect. I work at CIMSC for over 10 years with wonderful supervisor and other co-workers, but some days the micro management was unbearable. I was expected to complete and certain amount of treatment plan and with patient on a particular day.. In addition, it seem that the patient negative response to treatment was more my responsibility, rather than the patient. Although, the requirement are the same there is limited micro management at my job in Maryland. For one thing the patients are held accountable on the outcome of their treatment. Next the staff is smaller and more family oriented. New York that staff was larger and we work as a team with but some days there was struggle to keep the team together. The most important difference between living in New York and Maryland is having family and friend closed by. When visit New York I'm so free to walk from one family home to the next without the need of car. I will also meet up with my brother for lunch at 67-Burgers for lunch all in walking distance to the house. While in Maryland I feel isolated because of distance where everyone is located, I don't have that freedom to walk. However, despite the difference between New York and Maryland I will enjoyed the experience of living in two different but unique places.
