ABSTRACT

Computers are one of the most popular kinds of electronic devices in the world today. Whether kid or adult, male or female, everyone wants to learn how to operate the computer. People use computers for different purposes such as typing papers, creating websites, making presentations, browsing on the internet. As consumers we compare prices to see what price is reasonable. Computers have changed a lot since being invented. The programs, models and features have also evolved over time. The prices vary as models change. We as consumers rely on computers to perform our daily tasks. And having a reliable computer is very important. At first impulse we are more inclined to purchase the cheapest one or one that suits our needs. Maintenance is a great factor in choosing what type of computer you will go for. An Apple computer is easy to customize. You can easily choose what brand or how powerful each component is. On the other hand, a Dell is always sold as a whole. It is also difficult to upgrade. You will need to use your USB port if you want to upgrade its hard drive and it is annoying to have it outside of your notebook. If a Dell is damaged, you will need to replace it as a whole and you are lucky if it is still under warranty. But if a Hewlett Packard computer gets damaged, you can just replace the parts of it that have been damaged. Another factor in choosing computer is its cost. The only downside in purchasing a computer is that it consumes energy. Apple has a more net profit margin they have a profit margin of 20% while its competitors have a measly 5%. This is Apple's integrated product offerings include big software and service component. Software and services
