* Requirement gathering

* Support function and implementation

* Timely implementation

Requirement gathering is required at every level of project. It is a continuous process.

Q- What are your sources for requirement gathering and what skills are required for the same?

Requirements are taken from business users as well as top management but we prefer to get it for business users.

The major requirement is communication and listening skills

Q- Has it ever happened that you are not able to manage a client?

Yes, whenever requirements are not gathered properly due to lack of information from business users or misinterpretation on the part of a team member.

Q- Can you narrate any specific incidence regarding the same?

Yes, once during a work through the product was rejected as it was not as per the requirement of the client. In that case the blueprint was not signed by the client so the part of fault was not ours but then we asked for extension of deadline to make the required changes.

Q- Has there been any incident where blueprint was signed but still the product was rejected?

Yes, it happened 2-3 times. The product was as per the blueprint but still client wasn't satisfied and he was a very important client of the company. At that time we accepted the changes on the emergency basis and made the changes at a short notice without charging extra. In this situation, I had to convince my seniors that if we charge extra we can lose this loyal and profitable client.

Q- Has there been any incident where the client was not satisfied even after your continuous efforts?

At times it happens. Every time we try to put 100% efforts but still at times not able to meet the expectation of the client. There had been a time when we were given less time than was asked by us so as to complete the project. The whole team worked for extra hours and even on weekends but still were not able to complete the phase on time. All the team members
