Tout Suite cafe is one of the competitors for Cup of Joy. Tout Suite is a midscale coffee house which sells drinks, small meal and dessert. It has the similar service process and service level as Cup of Joy. More importantly, it has a good management team to innovate and keep competitive advantages. Both Tout Suite and Cup of Joy have three common advantages, but we have divergent strategies in each of them.

  • Efficiency

Efficiency is the obvious feature for Cup of Joy. They are divided into four divergent zones as different service areas. The first part is sack, bread and dessert service. The second is to make and serve tea and coffee. The third is to serve alcohol. The last service line is food delivery. The four different parts separate their work individually, but they correspond to the final drawer. This type of service dramatically increases the accuracy and efficiency. Moreover, the staff in each service process (introduction, order, deliver and so forth) keep alert to coordinate with customer questions and ideas, which greatly controls the service gaps.

Comparing to Tout Suite, the Cup of Joy also has some unique and separate service areas. The one is opening up a window as speed line for “TO GO” and pre-order.  Another is vending machines outside the coffeehouse with limited amount of food, coffee and tea. Those greatly deal with rush hours in the morning and afternoon, it also helps the customers to save time of waiting in line.

  • Innovation

The innovation is a great spot in Tout Suite cafe. There are lots of smart design, including tiles, bulb lights, glass dessert cases, chalkboards and so forth. For instance, all the light at the different sitting areas are different. Those various light bulbs and shapes potentially set up the unique atmosphere at that specific area. The menu is also a creative setting. There are some “Suite” styles, not only refer to some meals stand for Tour Suite Cafe only, but also means different kinds of orders. For instance, in “A Suite” order, people can select two items from half salad, half sandwich and cup of soup at lower price. Brunch order (10am-2pm) on weekends sells all the specials and different food orders in cafe which are totally different from normal menu so as to attract more customers to taste.

Although those innovation in Tout Suite café bring the freshness and interest to the customers, Cup of Joy have more new objects, which will broadly open up your eyes. In terms of amenities and designs, we offer modern establishment, such as tablet at each table. We provide the quiz zones for meeting. In selling aspect, we offer more wine and beverage. Especially, we sell some high quality wine from California and European countries for some business people. We publish the “afternoon tea” time for attractive promotion, which is quite different from Tout Suite.
