Composer Report
The famous composer I chose to write my report on is Johann Sebastian Bach. He was a very famous German composer from the Baroque period of music. Not only was he a great composer, he also played the organ, viola, and the violin. His main instruments were the violin and organ. In class we watched numerous of videos of different musicians playing his pieces of music that he wrote and shared with the world. The main reason why I chose Johann Sebastian Bach from the other famous composers is because I felt like we spent the most time discussing him during class time. His music just grabbed my ear and attention the most when I first heard it in class. The way different violinists could bring out bring sounds across from the music Bach composed was just incredible to me. Johann Sebastian Bach made a few contributions to music that made the added to the Baroque period. His main contribution though was his music itself that he composed for the world, which still lives on till this day. His music had such different and many melodies that it all just flowed together beautifully to form a great sound and a great piece. Johann Sebastian Bach’s personality showed greatly within his music I felt like. He was a vey hard worker and did not believe in taking the short way around things. When we wrote music he was very patient in his writings so he could obtain the best quality product possible. This is why he is considered to be one of the best composers still till this day. When I listen to his music I feel like the music was not thrown together in a couple of days and took a lot of thought of how he wanted the music to sound. Out of all the composers on the list Bach was my favorite.
