Subject: Job analysis and description for lead Engineer position

We have been reviewing our needs for extra engineers that can fulfill the operational gaps that we have in our group. Because of amount of work that we currently have and the market future promises for doubling the work; based on the review, we would like to provide you with the following information to clarify the qualification of few lead engineers that needed and the duties they will be responsible for.

Job Summary:

CDM lead engineer must provide technical support and show leadership related to Non-Destructive Inspection necessary to meet engineering needs on a basis. Also, ensures that projects meet specifications, performance and standards requirements within area of expertise.

Scope of responsibilities:

Engineer must be able to interpret and applies relevant policies & procedures. Also, receives objectives and guidelines for projects, he/she should be able to analyze and interpret data independently, anticipates potential problems and takes preventative action. Engineer adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.

Lead Engineer major responsibilities are:

* To participate in the project planning and schedule process.

* Reviews the work of others for accuracy and soundness of judgment.

* Reviews NDE procedures of internal and external customers, writes procedures as applicable.

* Manage technical interface issues between disciplines.

* Detail design of power generation and controls, power distribution systems and safety and communication systems.

* Detail checks of electrical plans, equipment, panels, cables, cable trays, lighting, one-line drawings and wiring schematics

* He/she will participation in process design reviews, HAZOP and SAFOPS studies and contribute to the design HSE case

Note: Engineer will not have any budget responsibility at this level

Qualification:

* BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.

* Eight to ten years relevant manufacture experience in specialized area.

* Must be competent in several areas of NDT inspection (magnetic particle, radiographic or ultrasonic testing).

* Ability to apply API, ISO requirements to data base information and components.
