Cybercrime
Crime is defined as an act or the commission of an act that is forbidden by a public law (Crime, 2013). The subject of crime can be recognized in several classes. Some of the most common or familiar crimes are known as narcotics (associated with the transportation, sale, purchase and the use of illegal narcotics), street crime (Rape, murder, assault and robbery), organized (Criminal organizations such as the Mexican cartel, MS13, and the Arian Brotherhood), governmental (crimes committed both against and by the government), and white-collar crimes (persons who commit a crime while operating in his or her place of work).
Cybercrime is a crime committed by utilizing a computer and the internet to steal an individual's identity, stalk victims, disrupt operations by using malevolent programs, and selling contraband(Cybercrime, 2013). The newest form of crime in this generation is cybercrime. There are three key classifications cybercrime can be divided into. The three key classifications are government, people, and property. Cybercrime committed against people consist of different crimes like broadcast of child-pornography, and harassment of any individual by using a computer with something as simple as e-mail. Distribution, posting and trafficking of obscene material including lewd exposure and pornography, constitutes one of the most important Cybercrimes known today (Babu & Parishat, 2004). All cybercrime act should be taken seriously. Individuals can damage property by damaging computers by sending viruses over the internet. Viruses are very harmful programs that can cause extreme damage to a computer's hardware or software (Babu & Parishat, 2004). The last key classification of cybercrime is composed of actions against government. The advancement and rapid growth of the internet over the years has proven that the common role of cyberspace is one different kind of crime in this classification. Over the years the internet has shown that the mass majority of the cyberspace is being utilized by people who hope to threaten the global governments. In the year 2010 the Identity theft and fraud existed among the greatest common forms of online crime reported (McCaney, 2011).
