Dear Mr. Paul Volponi,
I just want to take the time out of my day to thank you for answering my questions. And to thank you for your time to sit down and talk to my class about the books you have written and upcoming books you are currently writing. This was such a wonderful opportunity for me to sit down and look an author in the face and talk to him about books. When I was little I used to write about my family and social problems in life.
What I learned while I was reading the two books Black and White and Rooftop was that there are a lot of social problems and racial problems in the world. Also that the same things that happened in the books are the same things that happen in real life. In the book Rooftop when the characters were caught playing Cee-Lo the gambling game. Related to my brothers because my brothers always play gambling games together to help each other count, but not actually gambling for money. The two books that I have read so far are such great books to read because they teach you so much about life and things that still happen in real life. I would love to continue to read your books. I want to become an author one day too. I just don't feel like I'm a good enough author. If you ever make movies about these books, I would enjoy playing a part in them.
I only have experience writing about my family when I was little. I would enjoy growing up writing books, sitting down and having coffee with other authors. I have not been writing for a while since my mom passed away. The last thing that I wrote was a poem to my mom about my childhood and how I'm doing because that's the only way I can keep in touch with her. This was a great experience for me to have to talk to you.
Sincerely,
Isis Gines
