Debbie level of motivation using Herzberg two factor theories would be classified as the hygiene factor which are associated with the work context, were related to job dissatisfaction. The reason being Debbie is a Registered Nurse that is only getting paid three dollars more than a licensed practitioner Nurse. Also Debbie was expected to supervise the other two nurses. The problem she faced was that the two nurses often treated her more as a peer, or even as a subordinate, rather than as a supervisor. Another problem Debbie faced that they two LPNs had been on the job for four and five years verses Debbie only have two years on the staff. This caused dissatisfaction because Debbie was expecting to be treated a certain way due to the level of her education and the position that she held. Adams's equity theory reflects Debbie decision to look for work else because, Debbie doesn't feel that the three physicians are not making fair decision. Therefore she feels that she start a new beginning and find work somewhere else where she will receive better treatment.

The basic theory idea behind the Vroom's theory is that people will be motivated because they believe their decision will lead their desired outcome "(Redmond, 2009). This theory is built upon the idea that motivation comes from a person believing they will get what they want. The two LPNs confronted the doctors about Debbie receiving a pay raise Debbie's new pay raise and status, the LPNs confronted the three physi-cians, demanding an additional increase in pay as well. Sensing a major confrontation, the physi¬cians had decided to raise the pay of the two so there wouldn't be any confrontation. If you were advising the three physicians in the organization, what would you tell them they should have done when confronted by the two LPNs? If I were advising the organization I would have told them that the two LPNs didn't deserve to receive a pay raise because, Debbie receive one. Debbie received a pay raise because she is a registered nurse that just graduated with her master degree so you have to pay Debbie more due to her education level. Just because, you all were confronted by the two LPNs doesn't justify your reasoning for giving them what they wanted to make them happy and to avid confrontation. This is not the time of operation we are running we want are workers to feel comfortable and to receive the proper type of treatment.
