Dogs

There is an old-saying:" Dogs are human's most loyal friends." Dogs can date back to the Stone Age. All dogs have the same ancestor. It is believed that their ancestor was much like a wolf. Other animals, such as the fox, came from this ancestor, too. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, man began to tame wild dogs. After the dogs were tamed, they were trained. The strong dogs became working animals. They were trained to pull heavy loads. They learned to keep an eye on the sheep and other animals. Working dogs had other jobs, too. Dogs can do many things for people. They are cute which always make their master happy. They will stay by your side when you need them. They can help people find ways, especially helping the police catch the criminal and leading the blind to the places they want. They can even save your life sometimes. Although dogs are lazy sometimes, their lovely faces can still remind people of happiness. I did have a dog named Andy when I was young. Every time I looked back to my childhood, a period I spent with Andy in my hometown directly poped into my head. His face, his voice and his action are still vivid in my mind. To be honest, having a dog as a company is not a easy job, but still this experience gives me a great memory.

My Andy is a Hovawart. The Hovawart is a large dog which looks similar to a Golden Retriever. A broad square head starts off this breed and leads to their rectangular muzzle. Small oval eyes are barely seen especially because of their dark brown color. Long ears hang down on the side of their head ending at the jaw line. A furry neck with a dewlap leads to wide and powerful shoulders. Semi-long legs end with their oval shaped paws. A long, fluffy tail hangs down and almost reaches the ground. Medium to long fur covers their long elegant body. I could still remember the first time I met Andy, at that time I was on my vacation at home. When my daddy came back home one day in July and carried a baby dog, I was totally surprised. Touching his soft hair and looking at his breath, I felt that his life was in my hand. In the following time, he would spend his time with me.

At first, Andy felt strange about the atmosphere around him. This is quite common because leaving his own family for a small dog is really tough. About a month later, he started to be familiar with me and my parents. He stopped his barking when night came. Also, he began to enjoy the food I gave him. He would like to try some chicken legs, beef and even fruits. When I recognized by accident that he could feel it about calling him "Andy", I was so happy that he finally became a member of my family. From then on, I started to rely on him. Every morning, I needed his company to welcome my new day. At night, I would have him for a short warming. Looking at his face when I gave him a shower, I could feel the warm convey from him and also in my deep heart.

Andy did matters a lot to me, and he definitely deserved it. I could still remembered
